Our May Festival was enjoyed by many this year as they came to see the mural project live. The Model T club brought some awesome cars & trucks to enjoy. Fruitdale Farms brought over their chickens and turkeys for young and old to enjoy and learn about the varieties of fowl they are nurturing here in Wheat Ridge.  The ladies from Days Gone By participated in the May Pole Dances and gave a croquet demonstration. Youngsters enjoyed making puppets and May baskets.

I would like to thank everyone who made our 50th Anniversary year so successful. Our members have done a great job bringing local history to our guests! In 2024, we won a 55th Anniversary Plate from the Carnation Festival for the Most Creative Entry. Our society was featured in the Wheat Ridge Living Magazine. The photos their wonderful photographer took are amazing. We actually made their year end edition as well. The Wheat Ridge Historical Society also won The Norm and Ethel Meyer Award. It is given each year by the Jefferson County Historical Commission (JCHC) to an individual or organization fostering and supporting historic preservation in Jeffco. This award was given to the Wheat Ridge Historical Society while we were celebrating 50 years of preservation support dedicated to Wheat Ridge’s heritage. We also are pleased to announce that the Wheat Ridge Historical Park and Baugh House were designated Jefferson County Landmark properties on June 3, 2024. What a wonderful year!

We will continue to grow and thrive with your support, so won't you join us this year and help our continuing efforts to preserve and present local history.
